Your Next Steps!

The hard part is over. You're in! Celebrate this accomplishment with your family & friends. Prepare for making your college commitment official by taking the following steps.

Already committed and submitted your enrollment deposit? Head to our Deposited Students webpage.

1) Receive your Financial Aid Offer

Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov/fafsa. Our financial aid team will prepare an offer for your W&J education, complete with your merit scholarship, federal and state aid for which you are eligible, institutional grants, and potential work study. You will need your and your family's tax information, as well as W&J's school code: 003389.

2) Secure Your Spot in the Class

3 ways to place your deposit:

  • Leadership Status Portal - Sign in to your account at connect.makingmemoriesportraits.net/portal/status and make your payment by credit or debit card.

  • Send a Check by Mail - Mail a $300 check or money order made payable to Washington & Jefferson College with your Admission Reply Form (from your admit packet).

  • Call Your Admission Counselor - Place a call with your Admission Counselor and pay over the phone with a credit card.

3) Connect with other W&J Students

Join our exclusive W&J College community on Discord. Share your story and connect with other incoming students.

Why join?

  • Get to know future classmates. You might even meet your future roommate(s)!
  • Gain access to helpful resources and stay up-to-date with all of the latest announcements.
  • Begin to immerse yourself in the W&J community.

4) Parents - You're Important Too

Encourage your family members to join our President Parents Platform at washjeff.campusesp.com. They will receive the latest news from W&J and access nationally sourced articles on college prep. They will also get invited to on-campus and virtual events tailored toward family members of college-bound students. Visit our Parents Resource page for additional information.

5) Attend an Admission Event

Our on-campus admission events are designed with fun in mind! Join us to meet other admitted students and members of the W&J community. Go to makingmemoriesportraits.net/visit to see our complete list of admission events with links to register, but please make it a point to attend Presidents Preview Day. It is our biggest celebration of the year for new students like you.

6) Register for an Uncommon Value Session (Optional)

To understand your cost of attendance, schedule a 30-minute Uncommon Value Session with a member of our admissions team. They will discuss your investment and the W&J Advantage.

  • Examine what you desire most and how W&J will exceed your expectations.
  • Discuss W&J graduate outcomes.
  • Address the financial plan for your education.

Schedule a time that is convenient for you and your family at wjadmission.appointlet.com

7) Complete W&J Gateway

The final step, after placing your deposit and creating your official student account, is our enrollment finalization process known as W&J Gateway. Through your Leadership Status Portal you will complete your mathematics and modern language course placements and required forms, and submit your digital student ID photo. Once you're done with Gateway, you will receive your academic course schedule and housing assignment. Visit our webpage for deposited students to learn more.
